I was recently pondering the idea that congress will never restrict their ability to trade stocks. Is there any way that the general public could just make them? Remember when Grover Norquist was making conservative politicians sign a pledge to never raise taxes? Could there be a similar pledge where politicians are pressured into agreeing to divest from stocks or put all their assets into a blind trust? Seems like such a simple ask...
